Lying back watching a movie under a starry sky on the Swan River foreshore against the Perth skyline is one of the magical joys of our lifestyle. Knowing that you are helping out four local children's charities is a bonus. All of this comes together at Movies by Burswood.
From December 20th until April 5th 2008 Movies by Burswood in the Burswood Parklands returns for its seventh season. Organised and run by a team of 300 volunteers the event benefits local charities seeking to improve the quality of life of children in a health or physical ability crisis.
The 16 week programme runs every night* at 8:30pm until 23 February and then from 8pm thereafter until end of season.
With admission prices for movies at $12 for adults, $9 for concessions and $6 for children it makes for a great value night out. There's a $29 family ticket available for 2 adults and 2 kids or 1 adult and 3 kids. Children are 5-15 years of age.
This year we introduce the premium seating area La Grassiere at $30 a ticket.
Discount Tuesdays are even cheaper with adults just $9 and concessions $6.

With a new larger 15 metre wide screen and surround sound the venue is the best outdoor cinema experience in Perth. Patrons are free to bring fold-up chairs, bean bags or the like. If lugging chairs isn't your thing then rug and chair hire onsite is available. A refundable deposit applies.
Movies by Burswood volunteers will be offering raffle tickets for sale for our Mauritius Get-Away. This includes a 6 night stay at the Naiaide Resort right on the beach on the magical island of Mauritius including return airfares. Tickets are just $2 with all proceeds donated to our charities.
The venue is catered and fully licensed with a variety of food, coffee, tea and confectionery available. Prices are extremely affordable. Domino's pizzas and associated products can be ordered at the venue too for just $9.95. We run a sausage sizzle each night at just $3 each. Otherwise just use the numerous barbecue facilities in the parklands. Social club and groups can also organise all-inclusive packages.
What makes Movies by Burswood stand out is its location - on the doorstep of Burswood Entertainment Complex. There's plenty of pre and post-movie entertainment either at Paddy Hannan's, The Ruby Room or the Casino itself. And don't forget the food hall and great restaurants.
Located at the junction of the Causeway, Canning-Albany-Great Eastern Highways and the Graham Farmer Freeway transport is no problem with plenty of free parking too. Burswood is well serviced by public transport via Transperth buses, trains, and taxis.
