Bankwest Movies by Burswood is Perth’s family-friendly affordable outdoor cinema.

Screenings are held in the Burswood Parklands near the Causeway and our new second venue at the BIC Reserve on Guildford Road corner Wilson Street Bassendean.  Lying back watching a movie under a starry sky is one of the magical joys of our lifestyle.  Knowing that you are helping out local children's charities is a bonus.  All of this comes together at Bankwest Movies by Burswood.

From 8 December until 14 April 2012 Bankwest Movies by Burswood in the Burswood Parklands returns for its eleventh season.  Our Bassendean venue runs from 19 January until 31 March 2012.  Organised and run by a team of over 400 volunteers the event benefits local children’s charities seeking to improve the quality of life of children in a health or physical ability crisis.

The 18 week Burswood programme runs every night* with gates open at 6:30pm and screenings commence at 8pm.

The 11 week Bassendean programme runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with special screenings on Wednesday 25 January and Sunday 4 March.  Gates open at 6:30pm and screenings commence at 8pm. 

If comfort is your preference then our premium seating Waterwise La Grassiere may be your choice at our Burswood venue only.  With luxurious bean bag lounges, a cheese pack from the Blue Cow Cheese Co, your choice of McWilliams Hanwood wine or Little Creatures beer / Pipsqueak cider / Schweppes soft drinks / hot beverages plus Streets mini magnums all in a special reserved prime seating area this is movie viewing in style.

With a large 15 metre wide screen the Burswood venue is the best outdoor cinema experience in Perth.  The Bassendean venue is more intimate.  Patrons are free to bring fold-up chairs, bean bags or the like.  If lugging chairs isn't your thing then bean bag lounge, rug and chair hire onsite is available.  Bean bag lounges can be pre-ordered ONLINE (online booking fee $1 per lounge) - strictly limited numbers available.

Bankwest Movies by Burswood volunteers will be offering raffle tickets for sale for our Mauritius Get-Away.  This includes a 6 night stay at the 5 star Beau Rivage in a junior suite right on the magical island of Mauritius including return airfares sponsored by Air Mauritius.  Tickets are just $2.50 with all proceeds donated to our charities.

The Burswood venue is catered and fully licensed with a variety of food, coffee, tea and confectionery available.  Prices are extremely affordable.  Domino's pizzas and associated products can be ordered ONLINE or at the venue too for just $12 (50c online booking fee applies per item).  We run a sausage sizzle each night at just $3.50 each. Otherwise just use the numerous barbecue facilities in the parklands.  Social club and groups can also organise all-inclusive packages.

What makes Bankwest Movies by Burswood stand out is its location - on the doorstep of Burswood Entertainment Complex. There's plenty of pre and post-movie entertainment either at Paddy Hannan's, Eve or the Casino itself. And don't forget the food hall and great restaurants.

Located at the junction of the Causeway, Canning-Albany-Great Eastern Highways and the Graham Farmer Freeway transport is no problem with plenty of free parking too.  Burswood is well serviced by public transport via Transperth buses, trains, and taxis.

Limited facilities are available at our Bassendean venue.
